Maybe you’ve heard of Shinola. They’re the Detroit-based company that’s renewing America’s faith in American Made goods. On top of creating killer watches, bicycles, and more - they’ve taken on a new project. Beautifying a small corner of the world. One compliment at a time.
That’s right, they’re bringing kindness back, too. With the help of seed paper, compliments, and social media. For every #saynicethings digital post they receive, they’ll print your message on seed paper - and then plant it in the city of Detroit. If you’re lucky enough to visit a Shinola storefront (either in Detroit or New York), you’ll have the chance to handwrite your own positive message on a piece of seed paper to help further the project. How cool is that?
Taking their inspiration from Emily Gail, a small business owner in downtown Detroit from the 70’s - Shinola is taking their pledge to reignite the American Dream one step further. So go ahead, #saynicethings - what do you have to lose?
